THE ROLE
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the bunker trading industry across the APAC region. You will work on both the purchasing and sales sides, establishing strong networks with suppliers and clients to enhance our market presence. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Proactively identify new business opportunities within the APAC region in bunker trading (both purchasing and selling side).
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, clients, and partners.
- Conduct market research to understand industry trends, pricing, and competition, and develop strategies to expand market share.
- Negotiate and manage contracts, ensuring terms align with the company's goals and profitability.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including bunker trading, compliance, and credit risk, to ensure seamless delivery of services.
- Provide regular reports and updates on business development activities, targets, and market insights.
- Stay up to date with industry regulations and developments, ensuring the company remains compliant and competitive.
OUR FUTURE COLLEAGUE
- Proven experience in business development, ideally within the bunker trading or related maritime/fuel sectors.
- Strong knowledge of the APAC region, including key markets and business practices.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build long-term relationships.
- The ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive results in afast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to think strategically.
- Fluent in Mandarin and English; additional language skills relevant to the APAC region are a plus.
