Responsibilities:
• The project manager is responsible for the project management, execution, supervision, coordination and successful completion of the Cooling system project comprising revamping
activities of the water side (chilled water production) and air side (AHU, FCU) with an energy
management system (EMS) migration.
• To ensure compliance with Client and Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• To manage the project within budget, schedule and quality according to the project's contractual
and technical requirements.
• To manage the project engineers.
• To manage and co-ordinate the works of the multiple contractors (Mechanical, Electrical, EMS)
and to ensure they deliver as per plan
• To work with the Regional Project Delivery Office, Engineering department, EMS Manager, project
site engineers, Health & Safety team, procurement team.
• To liaise with the client, consultants, contractors and equipment suppliers.
• To update and maintain the project schedule with the support of Project Delivery Office, the project
engineers, suppliers and contractors.
• To prepare the necessary project reports (progress, cost, Health & Safety) for regular senior
management meetings.
• To attend regular project meetings with client, consultants and contractors on all matters relating to
the project execution and co-ordination.
• Conduct periodic safety inspections and attend project and company's Health & Safety
(H&S) meetings.
• To identify potential opportunities bringing cost margin improvement
Requirements *:
• Minimum Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related fields. • Min.10 years of working experience in local Singapore M&E construction industry. • Min. 5 years’ experience as project manager in Chilled Water system and airside cooling systems (AHU, FCU or ACMV. • Experience in brown field projects, A&A projects of above S$15mil contract value. • Knowledge of EMS systems. • Knowledge of BCA Green Mark requirements. • Excellent safety mindset and displays excellent Workplace Health & safety behaviour and records. • Good communication skills, ability to properly communicate with all stakeholders (project team, subordinates, workers, management, sub-contractors, main contractor, client). • Able to prioritise tasks and to articulate issues in a simple way. • Self-motivated, autonomous and able to work under pressure. • Knowledge of building code of practices in Singapore.
Context
• There would be 2 projects • A&A type projects • Night time works involved - not requested for the PM to work night time
• Total portfolio of around SGD20M • Both projects are located near Changi airport and in downtown area. • Project 1 completion date planned for July 2025 • Project 2 completion date planned for Dec 2025
