Job Description:
· Generate Purchase Orders, maintaining the filing system of purchasing records
· Source for vendors and evaluates quotations
· Negotiates and coordinates with suppliers and cross-functional teams for the best possible price purchases
· Coordinates with other departments internally, on stock availability and delivery schedules and maintains tight inventory control
· Involve in planning, sourcing, and recommending suitable materials, products, goods, and services in accordance with desired purchase conditions, from locals and overseas suppliers and vendors
· Carry out the ad-hoc assignment as instructed by Management.
Requirements
· Min Diploma in Supply Chain/Purchasing Management or relevant studies
· Proven experience as a purchaser or buyer, preferably in the maritime sector
· Strong negotiation skills
· Good communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
· Proficiency in MS Office; experience with procurement software is a plus.
· Knowledge of shipping will be an advantage
