Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of Piping Engineers and Designers as the Lead Engineer of the project.
- Ensure efficient project execution within the stipulated schedule and budget.
- Effectively manage design changes and provide appropriate solutions as needed during project execution.
- Responsible for the production of deliverables such as design calculations, specifications, procedures, analyses, progress reports, bid evaluations, CTR input, study reports and various third-party submissions.
- Provide skills, integrity, and knowledge in key areas of discipline engineering, including design codes, legislative requirements, and current good engineering practices.
- Understand clients’ needs; identify and address design parameters and problems; develop and implement solutions.
- Perform inter-discipline and discipline QA/QC and engineering compliance checks on all work performed by themselves or junior engineers within the group.
- Review and manage project and general specifications, engineering procedures, and engineering policy. Adhere to company processes and procedures.
- Responsible for all work completed in his/her section and delivered to the client. Ensure efficient and effective production of project deliverables.
- Assist the Department Manager in discipline-related activities and work sharing with other centers.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical, Materials or Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum 22 years of experience.
- Familiar with offshore/FPSO piping materials, stress, layout and support engineering and design concepts.
- Able to work independently with minimum guidance and coordinate well with the piping materials, stress and, layout teams as well as other disciplines.
- Hands-on experience as Lead Piping Engineer of large sized FPSO/offshore platform projects.
- Familiar with offshore piping materials and stress engineering, platforms and FPSO layout design, material handling, piping/pipe support design, safety requirements, and conduct 3D model reviews as per project requirements.
