Job Description
- Coordinate, supervise and perform building facility maintenance and rectification, and laundry services
- Facilitate interface with suppliers and term contractors for regular and ad-hoc maintenance activities
- Conduct routine checks including air-conditioning system, electrical, fire protection, plumbing system, central audio-visual security system, CCTV systems, fire safety equipment, etc., and ensure they are operating correctly
- Respond to users’ requests and alarms, and report any fault to the supervisor
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for building facilities and services including plumbing systems, and housekeeping service and equipment
- Conducting the necessary mitigations in order to make safe, isolate faulty and resume operation
- Troubleshoot and rectify minor maintenance issues such as bulb replacement, plumbing and part replacement
- Ensure the premises is kept clean at all times
- Assign duties to subordinates and supervise their work for conformance to prescribed standard of cleanliness
- Investigate complaints related to housekeeping service and equipment
- Perform cleaning duties in case of urgency or shortage of staff
- Develop and implement security measures for the premises
- Complete ad-hoc tasks and other duties, as assigned
Job Requirement
- Possess a NITEC or Higher NITEC in Building / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or its equivalent;
- Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience as Building Technician or in similar capacity;
- Possess technical knowledge of general building systems;
- Familiar with building maintenance practices and safety procedures, would be preferred;
- Is organized and have good interpersonal skills;
- Is pro-active, independent, able to work with minimal supervision and perform under pressure.
