DeltaV System Design & Development
- Design & Implement DeltaV Systems: Lead the design and delivery of Emerson DeltaV DCS applications, ensuring system performance and compliance with industry standards and GMP regulations.
- S88 Standards Compliance: Develop automation solutions adhering to S88 batch control standards, including control modules (CM), equipment modules (EM), phases, recipes, and units.
- System Modifications: Work with cross-functional teams to design and develop system modifications, ensuring effective integration of system architecture, control strategies, and sequences of operation.
System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- SDLC Deliverables: Create and review System Development Life Cycle deliverables, ensuring that they align with the site’s technical and compliance standards. Define processes and data flow that meet project needs.
Commissioning & Testing
- System Testing & FAT: Supervise and execute Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and other system tests, ensuring DeltaV systems meet operational and regulatory standards.
- System Commissioning: Participate in system commissioning efforts, ensuring seamless system integration and operation in a GMP manufacturing environment.
Collaboration & Automation Strategy
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with project teams to ensure that automation systems are designed, developed, and implemented effectively.
- Automation Strategy: Ensure adherence to the project’s automation strategy, driving efficient execution and regulatory compliance throughout the system lifecycle.
Requirements
- Industry Experience: Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries, with expertise in automation for GMP manufacturing.
- DeltaV Expertise: Extensive experience with Emerson DeltaV DCS systems, including DeltaV Batch control systems.
- System Design & Commissioning: Strong background in designing and commissioning DeltaV DCS projects for GMP sites.
- Technical Proficiency: Deep knowledge of control systems, including control panels, networking, panel/field wiring, and PLC systems.
- S88 Batch Standards: Comprehensive understanding of Batch S88 standards, particularly control modules, equipment modules, phases, recipes, and units.
- GAMP Knowledge: Familiarity with GAMP lifecycle guidelines and quality management processes used in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Teamwork & Leadership: Strong teamwork skills, with experience leading system testing and commissioning activities.
- Testing & Troubleshooting: Proven ability to supervise and conduct system testing, including FAT, and resolve technical issues.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft tools such as Excel, SharePoint, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Communication & Problem-Solving: Excellent communication skills, with strong customer orientation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Automation Strategy Compliance: Ensure that all development activities align with the project's overall automation strategy.
