We are seeking an experienced General Counsel to oversee all legal matters. This role will be pivotal in establishing and managing our compliance system, providing legal support for key business activities, and ensuring our operations align with the regulations and policies across Singapore, Indonesia, and other Southeast Asian countries.


Legal Strategy and Risk Management

  • Providing strategic legal advice to the executive team and ensuring alignment with the company's business objectives.
  • Develop and implement legal strategies that promote compliance and mitigate risks across all business activities.
  • Identify and assess legal risks associated with business operations, advising on strategies to mitigate potential legal and regulatory risks.

Compliance Management and Regulatory Research:

  • Establish, implement, and maintain a comprehensive compliance program, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements in Singapore, Indonesia, and other Southeast Asian countries.
  • Monitor changes in laws and regulations affecting the gaming industry and ensure the company remains compliant.
  • Conduct research on legal regulations in various countries beyond Southeast Asia to inform strategic decision-making and ensure comprehensive compliance.

Contract Review and Negotiation:

  • Provide legal support in contract review and negotiation for all gaming projects and business partnerships, ensuring that contractual obligations align with the company’s strategic goals.

Regulatory Affairs and Corporate Governance:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with regulatory authorities in Singapore, Indonesia, and other Southeast Asian countries, advocating for the company's interests while ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance practices and contribute to the development of policies that support ethical conduct and business integrity.

Team Development and External Relations:

  • Build and manage a legal team to support business expansion, ensuring the team is equipped to handle evolving legal challenges or / and
  • Maintaining strong relationships with external legal firms to facilitate collaboration and support for legal matters.

Training and Development:

  • Develop and deliver legal and compliance training programs to enhance awareness and understanding among employees about relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.



Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in law from reputable law education institution.
  • Admission to the Singapore Bar.
  • Minimum of 8 years of Post Qualification Experience (PQE) with reputable legal firms and TMT/Gaming companies, including significant experience in compliance.
  • In-depth understanding of the legal systems, cultural nuances, and regulatory frameworks of Singapore and other Southeast Asian countries is a plus.
  • Proven ability to work independently and drive projects to completion with high efficiency.
  • Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English and Mandarin required; proficiency in Indonesian is a plus, as this role involves interaction with Chinese and Indonesian stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills, with a strategic mindset and a focus on business objectives.
  • Occasional business travel may be required.
