Overview
Our client is looking for a finance manager to assist the Head of Finance in overseeing the accounting and finance functions of the company. This includes AP, GL, FP&A, financial reporting, financial compliance, and people management.
This role plays a pivotal role in supporting decision-making of the company through long term strategic planning, business partnering and collaborating with key stakeholders.
Role
- The Finance Manager directly reports to the Head of Finance.
- Office is located in Sembawang.
- 5.5 days work week. Monday to Friday (work in office, 8.30am to 5.45pm), alternate Saturdays (flexible work arrangement).
- Friendly working environment.
- Salary range from $6,500 to S$7,500.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Management:
- Oversee the accounting function, including AP, GL, and payroll posting.
- Ensure financial compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
FP&A:
- Develop and manage the annual budgeting process.
- Conduct financial forecasting and variance analysis.
- Prepare detailed financial reports for stakeholders and management.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
Cash Flow Management:
- Monitor cash flow and liquidity to ensure sufficient resources for operational needs of the company.
- Develop cash flow forecasts and manage working capital.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Analyze financial performance and provide insights to management for business investments and resource allocation.
Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term financial strategies.
- Evaluate investment opportunities and financial risks.
- Drive continuous improvements in financial processes, systems, and reporting tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and provide financial guidance.
Compliance and Controls:
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and IFRS.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Support audits and reviews as required.
- Pro-active in controlling costs being fully aware of forecasted business and targeted profitability whilst maintaining standards.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial stakeholders.
People Management:
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Provide training and development opportunities for staff.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- CPA, CA, ACCA or related professional qualification is required.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting/FP&A experience in leadership positions, experience gained in F&B or F&B Manufacturing industry is preferable.
- Strong background in Accounting and FP&A.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling.
- Experience using SAP or related ERP system (e.g. Oracle) would be an added advantage.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skillset, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
