Job Overview:
We are looking for a System Integration Engineer / Industrial Communication Programmer to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with contractors and engineers to manage the installation and integration of digital power meters, IoT devices, and routers at different locations. You'll need expertise in battery system controls, Modbus/serial communication, and coding IoT devices to support Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). A strong grasp of Node.js, JavaScript, and communication protocols like TCP/IP and MQTT is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation & Supervision
- Work with contractors to ensure proper installation of digital power meters, IoT devices, and routers on-site.
- Verify that all systems are installed according to project requirements and industry standards.
System Integration & Programming
- Understand battery system controls and Modbus/serial communication signals.
- Code IoT devices to enable communication with BESS system controllers.
- Use programming skills to integrate and transmit data seamlessly across devices.
Technical Proficiency
- Apply Node.js or JavaScript to develop and troubleshoot system integrations.
- Implement communication protocols like TCP/IP and MQTT to ensure smooth data transfer.
Monitoring & Maintenance
- Monitor system performance and building power online to maintain optimal functionality.
- Assist in enhancing the platform’s maintenance processes to improve system reliability.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Programming Languages: Proficient in Python, R, Node.js, Node-RED, and JavaScript. Knowledge of C# or other programming languages is a plus.
- Communication Protocols: Familiar with Modbus and serial communication. Ability to work with digital and analog signals.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting system integration issues.
- Collaboration: Effective communication skills to work with contractors, engineers, and cross-functional teams.
- Reliability: Dependable with a strong sense of responsibility for system monitoring and maintenance.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in system integration, industrial communication, or a similar role.
