We are assisting our client, part of a global engineering and technology group, look for an experienced Developer with a strong background in the design and development of end-to-end geospatial solutions systems, software engineering, image processing and data analytics to join the existing team.
You are expected to design, develop, and deploy geospatial analytics solutions, leveraging your expertise in image processing, data engineering and analytics to generate insights from large volumes of data. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including business development, sales and marketing to deliver innovative solutions that drive our business forward.
Responsibilities
- Participate in entire product life cycle, including defining product vision, market survey, product positioning in market, understanding/addressing customer pain points, implementation roadmap, engineering and development to ensure successful product implementation.
- Design end-to-end geospatial solutions systems which include efficient and remote management of ground station resources for satellite constellation, seamless transfer and processing pipelines of large volume of data and cloud-based deployment of geospatial analytics software.
- Lead and develop analytics solutions for maritime/agriculture/sustainability end use applications leveraging on multi-modal data sources e.g. multispectral, SAR imagery, textual data and computer vision, AI/ML technologies.
- Develop advanced satellite ground segment and ground station concepts to manage and monitor satellite constellation and schedule resources of a network of ground stations to support satellite constellation operations.
- Satellite system engineering and development such as AIT and AOCS.
- Work with business development and sales teams to develop comprehensive geospatial products roadmap.
- Provide pre and post sales technical support.
Requirements
- Knowledge in Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in remote sensing techniques, Geospatial Information System processing system, SAR principles, interferometry, polarimetry processing and applications.
- Familiar and understand imaging satellite systems and imaging products.
- Proficient in NodeJS, Python, TypeScript programming and experience with libraries such as OpenCV and TensorFlow, PyTorch or similar.
- Proficient in frontend frameworks e.g. React, Angular, Bootstrap and in developing backend services using Restful APIs.
- Proficient with any RDBMS or Non-SQL DB – e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
- Experience with Git, containerisation and software development workflow.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and development on cloud would be an advantage.
