JOB SCOPE
A nurse clinician has the core responsibility of providing a high standard of patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care to meet the needs of the patients, including educating patients and caregivers.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Reception Duties and Patient Management, including:
- Answer phone calls and respond to enquiries.
- New patient registration, update of patient information, and verification of insurance coverage.
- Schedule and manage appointments.
Administrative Support, including:
- Maintain and organize patient records, including medical history, personal information, and billing details.
- Ensure accurate documentation and filing of medical records and other administrative documents.
- Handle patient billing, insurance claims, and payment processing.
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers or specialists as necessary.
- Coordinate and schedule diagnostic tests, surgeries, or medical procedures for patients.
- Collaborate with external parties such as laboratories, pharmacies, and insurance companies, as necessary.
- Manage and stock office supplies, maintain inventory, and place orders when needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the reception area, waiting room, and administrative areas.
- Follow proper infection control protocols and assist in maintaining a safe and secure environment.
Patient Assistance, including:
- Provide basic information to patients about clinic procedures and available services.
- Assist doctor in specialist clinic and operating theater.
- Manage patient care in Outpatient, Day Surgery, and/or Inpatient setting.
- Follow up on patient’s review and assist in patient’s postoperative recovery matters.
- Provide medical support and first aid during sports events, ensuring the safety and well-being of participants.
- Coordinate and organize health services for sports events.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Diploma/Degree in Nursing qualification
- Registered with the Singapore Nursing Board and possess a valid Practicing Certificate
- Valid BCLS + AED Certificate
- At least 2 years of nursing experience in the clinical setting
- Sports Orthopaedic experience will be an advantage
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiar with Plato system will be an advantage
- 5.5 days work week
