What You will do:
- Support ESG Reporting and Program Metrics: Assist in gathering data and reporting on ESG metrics, ensuring alignment with ChampionX’s overall ESG strategy.
- Assist in ESG Governance Strategy: Contribute to the development of ESG governance processes, including documentation creation and process standardization.
- Research and Provide Insights for ESG Supplier Strategy: Support research efforts and provide input on potential opportunities for enhancing the ESG supplier strategy.
- Identify Opportunities for Process Improvements: Assist in identifying and recommending improvements in ESG-related procurement processes.
- Support Compliance with Procurement Policies: Ensure adherence to procurement policies and fair business practices while sourcing products and services at the best value.
- Engagement and Stakeholder Involvement: Assist in engaging stakeholders, resolving issues, and coordinating with sourcing teams, business leaders, and legal/risk partners to ensure smooth procurement processes.
- Contribute to Sustainability Objectives in Supplier Selection: Help develop and track sustainability objectives for supplier scorecards using relevant metrics and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with Procurement Team: Work with the procurement team to enhance sustainability and ESG considerations during supplier evaluations and contract negotiations.
- Support Sustainability & ESG in Sourcing: Assist the procurement team and key stakeholders in incorporating sustainability & ESG principles into strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management.
- Participate in Special Projects: Engage in special projects and stretch assignments, providing support as needed.
Minimum Requirements
- Degree in Business, Engineering, Sustainability, or Procurement
- Relevant procurement experience, whether gained from clients, contractors, or consulting organizations.
- Familiarity with key responsible sourcing areas, including human rights, environmental impact, health and safety, anti-bribery and corruption, labor practices, and other socio-economic considerations.
- Knowledge of ESG legislative and regulatory environments is desirable but not mandatory.
- Confident and able to work independently without the need for constant supervision.
- Experience working with SAP or other ERP systems in a procurement or shared services environment. Good IT skills and a strong interest in tools, systems, data, and numbers.
- Proven ability to manage and deliver multiple projects, tasks, and initiatives simultaneously.
- Motivated and focused on achieving results in a fast-paced environment.
