Job Description
The National University of Singapore invites applications for Research Assistant for CAR-T cell manufacturing program in the Immune Cell Engineering Laboratory of the National University of Singapore. Our group is committed to delivering transformative and novel cellular therapies for patients with cancer. We have a strong track record of successful cell manufacturing for clinical trials in accordance with regulatory guidelines. Appointments will be made on a 2-year contract basis in the first instance, with the possibility of extension.
Purpose of the post
The role of the research assistant is to support immune cell manufacturing, including CAR-T cells, for several ongoing clinical trials. We are seeking highly motivated, conscientious and meticulous individuals to join our experienced team, be trained in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and be involved in research aimed at improving the treatment of patients with cancer.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- work in a (GMP)-certified facility manufacturing immune cells for clinical use, including CAR-T cells.
- apply various techniques in tissue culture, molecular biology, flow cytometry under rigorous GMP conditions, for which training will be provided.
- work effectively within a team of other skilled cell engineers
- be able to practice meticulous bookkeeping and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Maintain the highest standard of professional conduct and record keeping in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Assist with any other duties of a similar nature that are delegated by the PI.
Qualifications
The applicant should:
- Have a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences (those with no experience are welcome to apply)
- Have experience in general laboratory techniques, especially aseptic tissue culture techniques
- Be able to work independently and in a team, have an investigative nature with great attention to detail
- Have knowledge of computer applications, e.g. MS word, MS excel
