PROJECT OVERVIEW
- Provide specialized expertise in lifting operations and equipment for construction projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with project specification and client standards, regulations and requirements.
JOB SCOPE & JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Detailed lifting plans and procedures.
- Documentation of equipment inspections and certifications.
- Incident reports and corrective action plans, if applicable.
(i) Planning and Design
- Develop lifting plans based on project specifications and site conditions.
- Perform site surveys to assess lifting requirements and constraints.
- Design rigging arrangements and select appropriate lifting equipment.
(ii) Execution and Supervision
- Supervise and coordinate lifting activities on-site.
- Ensure equipment is operated safely and efficiently.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for lifting operations.
(iii) Technical Expertise
- Review engineering drawings and specifications related to lifting.
- Provide technical advice on rigging methods and equipment selection.
- Address technical queries and troubleshoot issues during operations.
(iv) Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC)
- Implement QA/QC procedures to verify compliance with lifting plans.
- Conduct inspections of lifting equipment and documentation.
- Maintain records of inpections and certifications.
(v) Risk Management
- Identify potential hazards and develop risk assessment strategies.
- Monitor weather conditions and other factors affecting lifting operations.
- Implement mitigation measures to minimize risks to personnel and property.
(vi) Client Relations
- Communicate with project stakeholders regarding lifting requirements and progress.
- Provide regular updates on lifting activities and milestones.
- Address client concerns and ensure customer satisfaction.
JOB REQUIREMENT
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Certification as a Lifting Engineer.
- 5 years of experience in lifting operations, preferably in construction or heavy industries.
- Strong knowledge of lifting equipment, rigging techniques, and safety standards.
- Any others task as assigned from time to time
