· Look at emerging low-carbon/green technologies, where he/she will focus on opportunities in the carbon sequestration and carbon market sector.
· Actively perform global scans of emerging low-carbon/green technologies and identify new growth opportunities for ST Engineering to pursue.
· Lead technology deep dives in low-carbon/green technology areas and develop strategic plans/roadmaps for the group to pursue in these areas.
· Work closely with New Ventures (or the relevant BAs) to support the development of new businesses in the growth area identified.
· Establish an R&D ecosystem made up of local and global start-ups, technology vendors, Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs), Research Institutes (RIs) and relevant governmental agencies to support the development and demonstration of innovative low-carbon/green solutions (products and services) that will meet business objectives.
· Work closely with the venture team to identify and assess capital investments designed to help ST Engineering meet our business objectives.
· Communicate with senior executive leadership (internally or client) regarding green technology trends, growth/business opportunities and/or any other matters of importance to the organisation as part of the Group Technology Office.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
· Degree in chemical/mechanical engineering or environmental science. Candidates with advance degrees (Masters, PhD) will be advantageous
· Min. 6 years of experience working on low-carbon technologies/solutions.
· Deep knowledge and experience in carbon sequestration and carbon MRV related technologies.
· Experience in advanced technology research, strategy development and road-mapping will be advantageous
· Analytical minded with exceptional project management and organization skills
· Strong communication and presentation skills
