Our client is an international professional services provider with a wide network spanning across various parts of the world. Due to continuous business expansion within the transfer pricing team, they are now seeking to hire a driven and tenacious individual as part of their growing transfer pricing team.
Responsibilities:
Transfer Pricing Strategy Development:
- Design and implement transfer pricing strategies tailored to clients' business models and global tax positions.
- Lead the preparation of transfer pricing documentation, including master files, local files, and Country-by-Country reports (CbC).
- Advise clients on the tax implications of cross-border transactions and ensure compliance with local and international transfer pricing laws (OECD guidelines, BEPS).
Compliance & Reporting:
- Manage and oversee the transfer pricing compliance process for a portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Work closely with the tax and audit teams to ensure that all transfer pricing policies comply with legal requirements and are accurately reflected in financial statements.
- Lead engagements with tax authorities during audits or inquiries on transfer pricing matters.
Risk Management:
- Evaluate potential transfer pricing risks and opportunities in clients' existing structures.
- Provide strategic advice on managing risks and ensure that appropriate documentation is in place to support the company’s transfer pricing policies in the event of a tax audit.
Client Advisory:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on transfer pricing matters, including managing client relationships and handling technical queries.
- Provide expert advice on intercompany pricing for goods, services, intellectual property, and financing transactions.
Research and Analysis:
- Perform detailed industry and company-specific analyses to understand the functions, risks, and assets involved in related party transactions.
- Keep up to date with changes in transfer pricing regulations and global tax issues, advising clients on their impact.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop junior staff within the transfer pricing team.
- Ensure effective project management across multiple engagements to meet deadlines.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other tax and audit departments to integrate transfer pricing solutions with broader tax planning and compliance services.
- Work closely with international offices for cross-border projects and coordinate global transfer pricing requirements.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Law, or a related field.
- A relevant professional qualification (e.g., CPA, CA, CFA, or similar) is advantageous.
- 1-3 years of experience in transfer pricing, preferably in a Big 4 or mid-tier audit for Associate and 2-5 years of experience for Senior Associate.
- 7 - 10 years of experience in transfer pricing, preferably in a Big 4 or mid-tier audit firm for Managers and above.
- Strong knowledge of international transfer pricing regulations and OECD guidelines, with a focus on BEPS.
- Experience with transfer pricing documentation, planning, and compliance for large multinational companies.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and projects.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with tax software and tools.
