Working hours: Mon-Sat, 5.5 days
Responsibilities:
- Perform refractions and clinical evaluations of patients' vision.
- Operate ophthalmic diagnostic and investigation equipment (training provided).
- Prescribe glasses and contact lenses based on evaluations.
- Assist the doctor during patient consultations and clinic operations.
- Help with general administrative tasks, including submission and logistics.
- Provide pre- and post-operation counseling, including financial guidance.
- Manage patient registration, medication preparation and dispensing, payment collection, and appointment scheduling.
- Educate patients on vision care, optical aids, and their vision status.
- Address patient inquiries and provide necessary information.
- Ensure all ophthalmic equipment is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate medical files for all patients.
Requirements:
- Fully Registered (Full-Reg) with the Singapore Optometrists and Opticians Board (OOB).
- Diploma or Degree in Optometry.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience preferred.
