Job Descriptions
· Attending to complaints and reporting any breakdown of services within the hotel premises promptly.
· Servicing and repairing all electrical and mechanical equipment, including meters, starters, switch gears, fittings, wiring, vacuum machines, cables, and other electrical-operated machines throughout the hotel.
· Installing new starters, wiring, cables, sockets, conduits, exhaust fans, doorbells, television sets, automatic doors, light fittings, and other electrical equipment as needed.
· Maintaining and repairing all mechanical and electrical (M&E) equipment, including air-conditioning and refrigerated equipment, sanitary, steam, hot and cold-water fittings, and pumps, to ensure they are working efficiently throughout the hotel.
· Running new wiring and cables, installing electrical fittings, lighting points, power points, fuse boxes, isolators, etc., as required.
· Inspecting and replacing all fused lamps inside and outside the hotel, including grounds and garden lights.
· Following a schedule to service the air conditioning systems to ensure optimal performance.
· Ensuring compliance with building and fire safety regulations and following established maintenance strategies and company policies to maintain a safe environment.
· Coordinating with other departments for smooth operations and communicating effectively with supervisors and colleagues regarding maintenance status and issues.
· Managing inventory for spare parts and ensuring adequate stock levels to minimize downtime.
· To assist with light housekeeping work when required.
· Performing any other tasks as assigned by immediate supervisor or management.
Requirements
· Candidates should have 1 to 2 years of experience in facilities and building maintenance to demonstrate a basic understanding of the field.
· At least an ITE NITEC, Higher NITEC, GCE 'N' Level, GCE 'O' Level, or Diploma qualification.
· Preferably to have hospitality background.
· Able to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to ensure the smooth operation of facilities and building maintenance tasks.
· Able to do shift work and work on weekends.
