Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly management reports and other financial reports required by management
- Handle full set of accounts, month-end closing, and GST preparation and submission.
- Assist in validating sales invoices created by staff in Xero
- Monitor AR and work closely with staff through frequent communications with staff regarding collections of outstanding receivables, and emailing receipts to customers
- Responsible for the processing of staff claims and vendor payments
- Liaise with internal and auditors on the internal audits and annual audits of financial statements
- Liaise with banks, and other external parties
- Supports systematic filing and retrieval of accounting records
- Liaise with donors on donations-related matters
· Identify areas for improvement and develop good accounting control procedures to enhance work quality and efficiency.
· Assist in any other related duties assigned by your Head of Department
· Assist in admin matters and organisational events and activities when required
- Finance & accounting experience, preferably in non-profit organization
- ·Minimum 1 year experience in Finance and/or relevant fields is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Self-driven, people oriented and a team player
- Good interpersonal communication and presentation skills
- Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Ability to communicate, build and maintain good relationship with the community.
- Excellent in oral and written command of the English language is essential, proficiency in Chinese language will be an added advantage to liaise with Mandarin-speaking members
