This position is responsible for basic policy, business plan, long-term business structure, risk management, evaluation of performance, business alliance, new products, etc. for Asia Pacific Division. (including arrangement with Tokyo Head Office) and Credit Planning. .
- Support Singapore, and other offices in the region
- Establish business plan and long-term business/organization structure
- Develop and determine plans for risk management at regional office (excluding matters supervised by Risk Management Dept. Asia)
- Management reporting (including creating meeting materials) in both Japanese / English and also Japanese if required
- Plan and establish inter-branch and inter-department co-operation in business promotion matters e.g. introducing new incentive rules
- Review and approve applications for new products
- Promote and control businesses with investment banking related subsidiaries and affiliates
- Establish new guidelines/ rules for the region
- Communicate with Tokyo HO / regional branches for business planning
- Handle ad-hoc request from the management and related departments
- Performance evaluation for each offices/department in the region
- Handle ad-hoc projects/initiatives in both English and also Japanese if required
- Create proposal / presentation materials in both Japanese / English
- Having dialog with Japanese Financial Service Agency (regulator) in both Japanese / English and also Japanese if required To develop team members’ skill
Job Requirements :
- Degree or equivalent
- Proficiency in Japanese is desirable as this role needs to prepare reports and presentations in Japanese and engage with the Japanese Financial Service Agency (regulator)
- Fluent English speaking / writing skills
- Working experience in business planning function in financial institution.
- Strong working experience in establishing business strategies, policies/procedures and/or processes.
- Working knowledge in ALM, Treasury and Capital Market space is desirable.
- Good people management skills, team oriented and able to work across all levels of the organisation.
- Self starter, strong stakeholder and team management skills
- Knowledge or working experience for managerial accounting.
- A minimum of JLPT N2 is required
