Requirement : System Programmer or Release and DevOps Engineer / Analyst – Banking
Job Description / Key Requirements:
- 05+ years working experience in IT is required.
- Must have recent hands-on working experience in both DevOps & Release Management
- Working experience in banking industry is a must.
- Must: Should have current working experience in CI/CD, Jenkins, Groovy/Gradle, GitHub, Kubernetes
- Must: Current working experience in Automation and Shell Scripting is a must for 2+ years.
- Experienced with creating, implementing and maintain software deployment , scalable strategies and solutions to implement and streamline complex software products.
- Experienced with building and setting up high velocity and reliable CI/CD pipeline using tools/platforms Jenkins/Maven/Groovy/Gradle.
- Experience in defining, implementing, maintaining branching strategies especially in programs involving multiple streams / projects. (trunk based , feature based , Git Flow etc)
- Knowledge on quality tools and Management tools like Sonar and Jira
- Good to have : OpenShift and Ansible experience
- Good to have: experience in Java 11 & above, microservices, API’s is an added advantage
- Experience working in Banking , Insurance or other Financial services and well aware of policies and procedures in terms of software deployment, software promotion across multiple controlled environments ( SIT, UAT, Production)
- Ability to automate repeatable processes.
- Continuously identifying new tools, ideas to improve the whole process of production systems and CI/CD pipeline.
- Provide operating guidance, training and troubleshooting documents.
- Prior Experience must in managing the release management / software configuration management in a program setup with multiple development streams.
- Accountable for managing end to end deployment process from building, managing automated pipelines for multiple projects / streams of work.
- Gate keeper to ensure the right code gets deployed and what gets tested goes to production, ensuring the code and all relevant components, environment specific configurations are maintained , tracked and updated
- Be the SME for software configuration management and release management function
