DevOps Engineer (Mobile Device Management)

Job Description

The Core Engineering Products (CEP) Team aims to spearhead the digital transformation of government. Security Suite for Engineering Endpoint Devices (SEED) is the Singapore Governments implementation of an Identity and Access Management (IAM) and zero trust platform, ensuring the security of engineering resources against unauthorized access to SG Tech Stack (SGTS) services.

What to Expect

  • Participate in an in-house engineering squad for engineering excellence in design, development and operational of the Singapore Government Commercial Cloud Platform.
  • Responsible to develop and maintain the platform used by multiple government agencies.
  • Work with products team to analyze and enhance products from reliability perspective. Participate in the products development cycle to ensure sustainability and reliability is built right into the products.
  • Support end users on the enrolment of their devices into the SEED zero trust network solution
  • Support product teams on the integration of their systems into the SEED zero trust network solution
  • Be the guiding subject matter of expert for DevOps methodologies, contribute to Automation, Availability, Scalability and Resiliency to the team and the development communities within government.
  • This role has focus on ensuring infrastructure as code deployment security with various CICD toolchain such as Gitlab, Atlassian, Terraform.
  • Proactive and have keen interest in keeping up with the latest technical advancement in Zero Trust, SASE, IAC solutions
  • Subject matter expert on EUC supporting L3 Ops issues, guiding and training L2 Ops

Requirements

  • Experienced in designing and implementing Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions
  • 3+ years of experience in building large scalable infrastructure and platform with IAC and GitOps
  • Familiar with cloud services such as AWS and Azure.
  • Familiar with Zero Trust Network solutions such as Azure AD Conditional Access and Cloudflare Access.
  • Familiar with Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions such as Intune.
  • Familiar with Networking concepts such as DNS resolution, VPN software and tunnelling proxies.
  • Familiar with supporting MDM and VPN issues on the Windows and MacOS operating system
  • Experience in large-scaled distributed environments and their challenges.
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform, Gitlab/Atlassian and how to secure the deployment pipelines
  • Experience with IAC deployments and its best practices.
  • Familiar with IAC security and opensource tools in relevant domains.
  • Good to have knowledge and experience on GitOps
  • Good to have knowledge on Node.js, Python or other scripting languages.
  • Good to have practiced Site Reliability Engineering principle.

  • Degree in Computer Science or related disciplines.
  • Advocate for the best Engineering and DevOps principles.
  • Self-initiated, have keen interest on latest technology and practice continuous improvement
