A global leader in the Wines & Spirits industry is seeking a skilled Network Engineer with expertise in LAN/WAN, Wireless, and Network Security. This role requires hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies, particularly in the 9000 series, alongside strong communication skills and a customer-centric mindset. The ideal candidate will also be flexible with travel across Asia and adaptable to working beyond regular business hours when necessary.
The Position:
- Wi-Fi/LAN Management:Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco Catalyst Wireless LAN controllers & access points, preferably the 9000 series (e.g., 9800, 9166).
Manage and maintain Cisco Catalyst LAN switches, with a preference for 9000 series expertise (e.g., 9300, 9200).
- WAN Management:Utilize your CCNA certification to manage and configure network WAN infrastructures.
Implement and troubleshoot network protocols such as EIGRP, BGP, QoS, FNF, and PfR.
Experience with Cisco DMVPN
Azure networking is a plus.
- Network Security:Manage and secure networks using Cisco Firepower.
Handle Zscaler ZIA, ZPA for secure internet access and private application access.
Configure and manage Checkpoint Firewalls for enhanced network security.
The Candidate:
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Cisco CCNA certification is required.
- Intermediate experience with Cisco Catalyst 9000 series (Wireless LAN controllers (WLC), access points (AP), and LAN switches).
- Experience with WAN network protocols (such as EIGRP, BGP, QoS, FNF, PfR).
- Familiarity with Cisco Firepower, Zscaler products, and Checkpoint Firewalls (experience in Palo Alto Firewalls would be considered).
- Knowledge of Cisco DMVPN and Azure networking is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills with fluency in English.
- Customer-centric mindset with the ability to understand both technical details and larger business needs.
- Ability to work outside of business hours (4-6 off-hours per month on average).
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to travel across Asia (Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, and other parts of the region as required).
- Comfortable communicating through email, MS Teams, and conference calls.
- Ability to work independently and within a global team environment.
