ROLE
The role of Speech and Language Therapists involves assessing clients, planning interventions, implementing therapy plans, evaluating progress in accordance with the given service delivery model for clients with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in the assigned program. The role also requires conducting caregiver education and teachers training, to equip them with the necessary strategies and skills in supporting the client's learning and development. The role requires working collaboratively in a transdisciplinary team comprising of other professionals, teachers, and caregivers for maximizing the clients’ skills towards independence and active participation in natural settings. The job scope also entails assisting senior colleagues in projects, specialized clinics, research work, performing departmental operational tasks, and participating in continuing education. The individual should possess effective communication, organisation, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills.
Requirements :
Preferred achievements/characteristics:
• Bachelors or Masters in Speech and Language Pathology or Therapy from a recognized
university
• preferred Full Registration under AHPC, or eligible for registration under the Allied Health Professions Council, Singapore.
• A heart and passion to serve in the community sector
