About KidSTART Department:
KidSTART provides upstream support to children from low-income families in the areas of early childhood development, health, and social support. As a KidSTART Practitioner, you will actively engage families and work closely with social / community partners and government agencies. Through home visits, you will support parents through delivery of a range of child development strategies, assess, and monitor their children’s health and development.
Responsibilities:
- Perform administrative duties, including but not limited to maintaining updated information of KidSTART families in SSNet and internal systems;
- Support intake assessment of referrals;
- Support case workers in information gathering and conduct assessments on children’s developmental needs;
- Assist case workers to develop holistic child-centric case plans for each child and provide monitoring and follow up to address any barriers until child graduates from programme;
- Support case workers in engaging children and parents with knowledge and skills on meeting child’s developmental needs;
- Provide last mile delivery of support to families.
Requirements:
- Possess Diploma preferably in Early Childhood, or Psychology.
- 2-3 years’ experience in social service, working with families or early childhood education sector.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Organised, meticulous and adaptable to changes.
- Able to work at least two evenings per week.
- This position is on contract basis
- Full time or part time welcomed
