We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Trade Ops Analyst to join our client's team in the Equity division. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless execution, confirmation, and settlement of equity trades across multiple markets. The ideal candidate will have experience in trade operations, excellent problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of the trade life cycle within the financial services (FS) industry.
Responsibilities:
- Trade Execution and Processing: Monitor, capture, and process equity trades across multiple platforms and exchanges. Validate trade details (quantity, price, counterparty, etc.) to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal controls.
- Trade Lifecycle Management: Manage pre- and post-trade activities, including trade confirmation, settlement, and reconciliation.
- Coordinate with middle-office, front-office, and external stakeholders (brokers, custodians) to address trade issues.
- Risk and Compliance: Ensure trades adhere to relevant regulatory and compliance standards (e.g., MiFID II, SEC, etc.). Identify, report, and mitigate operational risks related to trade processing activities.
- System Utilization: Utilize trade management systems (e.g., Bloomberg, Charles River, or other OMS/EMS platforms) to ensure operational efficiency.
- Continuous Improvement: Support projects aimed at automating processes and enhancing operational workflows.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- At Least 3-5 years of experience in trade processing or operations, with a focus on equities
- Strong knowledge of the trade life cycle and equity market structures.
- Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards in the FS industry.
- Experience using OMS/EMS systems like Bloomberg, Charles River, or similar platforms
- Proficiency in Excel
- Open to a 6-12 months contract role .
