Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and technically inclined Junior Sales Engineer with 1-2 years of experience in sales within the engineering or oil and gas sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundational knowledge of engineering principles and a genuine interest in learning more about technical sales, especially related to tools and equipment used in the oil and gas industry. This role is an excellent opportunity to develop your sales skills in a technical environment while contributing to the growth of our business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in identifying potential clients and market segments, generating leads, and following up on inquiries to grow the customer base.
- Support senior sales engineers by preparing technical presentations and product demonstrations tailored to client requirements.
- Maintain strong client relationships through regular communication, providing prompt support and addressing client inquiries or concerns.
- Communicate product specifications, benefits, and applications to clients effectively, addressing both technical and commercial aspects.
- Stay updated on industry trends, product advancements, and competitor offerings to maintain a competitive edge.
- Assist in preparing quotations, proposals, and bid documents, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client specifications.
- Conduct client site visits to understand specific requirements and present suitable solutions, with guidance from senior team members.
- Perform product demonstrations and assist in training sessions for clients, showcasing product functionalities and applications.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent technical background.
- 1-2 years of sales or customer service experience in the engineering, oil, and gas tools industry, with a preference for candidates familiar with technical sales.
- Basic knowledge of engineering concepts, with the ability to quickly learn technical details of our products.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-oriented mindset.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience with CRM tools is preferred.
