Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following experience, knowledge and skills:

  • Minimum GCE “O” or “A” or diploma in any discipline.
  • CGI Certificate (BCP/ PGI/ Com GI) will be an added advantage.
  • Preferably 3 - 5 years of relevant working experience (without prior experience will also be considered).
  • Computer literacy skills especially in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Proficient in English and effective communication and Interpersonal skills.
  • Positive working attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Have initiative and able to work independently as well as multi-task.


Job description

The successful applicant will:

Underwriting – to assist the Underwriters

  • Prepare cover notes and RI slips (to fulfil contract certainty).
  • Service Intermediaries and attend to enquiries pertaining to documentations.

Documentation

Timely and accurate issuance of policy (including Open Policies) and/or endorsements (Direct, Co-insurance and RI inward) including the related documents which involves:

  • Checking the underwriting information provided and ensuring all documents are in order.
  • Keying in of data into the Company’s underwriting system.
  • Ensure the whole process is completed within the stipulated turn-around time.

Merimen Portal

  • Creation of new account code, user ID and password.
  • Downloading &/or sorting of the report for billing purpose.

Finance reconciliation (adhoc)

As and when required to provide Finance with the supporting documents for their reconciliation.

Retrieval of data (adhoc)

  • As and when required to generate various reports from the system.
  • Documents are to be filled in a timely and orderly manner, be it hard or soft copies.

Others

  • To provide training for internal and/or external users on Merimen.
  • To guide and train new joinees on the workflow in both PST and eBao.
  • Be proficient in the marine cargo and Fine Arts issuance.
  • Be proficient in multi-tasking.
  • UAT on eBao.
  • Any other work as may be assigned.
