My client is looking for a proactive and commercially focused In-house Legal Counsel to join their team. This is a newly created position and the ideal candidate should have strong expertise in commercial legal matters, retail leasing contracts, and service agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice on a variety of commercial matters, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, retail leasing agreements, and service contracts.
- Ensure that all commercial transactions comply with applicable laws and internal company policies.
- Support contract lifecycle management, including renewals and terminations, with a focus on mitigating risk and maximizing business value.
- Handle the legal aspects of retail leasing contracts, including negotiations with landlords and managing lease-related disputes.
- Review and negotiate service agreements, ensuring alignment with business needs and compliance with legal standards.
- Work closely with departments to provide legal advice when needed
Key Requirements:
- Qualified lawyer with 3-5 years PQE, with significant experience in commercial law, retail leasing, and service agreements.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience managing complex commercial transactions.
- Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks, and deliver pragmatic legal solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with a business-oriented approach to problem-solving.
