We are seeking a versatile and dedicated Mechanic cum Storekeeper to manage our inventory and maintain our construction equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our construction tools and machinery, while also overseeing the organization and stocking of materials in the store.
Mechanical Maintenance:
- Perform regular maintenance and inspection of machinery and equipment such as excavators etc
- Performance regular maintenance, repairs and inspections for equipment such as generators, cable winch, concrete/road cutter, compactor etc
- Maintain service logs for all equipment and machinery
- Maintain accurate records and documents, such as records of repairs and parts used
Inventory Management:
- Oversee the receiving, storing and issuance of construction materials and equipment
- Keep accurate records of stock levels and ensure materials are available when needed.
- Conduct periodic stock checks and audits to ensure the accuracy of inventory data
Storekeeper responsibilities:
- Ensure all materials are labelled and stored in their designated places
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping at store areas.
- Implement efficient processes for material issuance to project teams.
- Liaise with project managers to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment.
- Ensure all equipment meets safety standards and is in good working condition before being issued to teams.
- Adhere to workplace safety protocols while handling machinery and materials.
- Any ad hoc duties as required by the Company
Requirements:
- Relevant experience in both mechanical work and storekeeping in a construction or similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction machinery and tools.
- Ability to perform basic repairs on mechanical equipment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical qualifications preferred.
- At least 1 years of experience in a similar role.
- Must have own transport
