The College of Computing & Data Science (CCDS) invites applications for the position of Project Officer.
The Project Officer will develop agent-based models to analyse contact patterns and devise a generic interface between the agent-based models and other forms of simulation models/data for risk assessment of infectious respiratory diseases transmissions of various built environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the project team to perform research tasks related to the development of agent-based models.
- Collaborate with fellow researchers to design agent-based models and perform agent-based simulations.
- Analyse the numerical data generated by agent-based simulations and perform risk assessment of infectious respiratory diseases transmissions for various built environments.
- Participate in and contribute to pertinent meetings as well as preparing research reports and academic papers with the project team members.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or relevant discipline
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JAVA, and C/C++
- Strongly motivated and responsible to perform research activities
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and with a large team
- Research experience in agent-based modelling and simulation is preferable
