Our client, a leading player in the power systems industry, seeks a Marine Field Service Engineer specializing in generator services. This role focuses on the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of marine generators, with an emphasis on hands-on technical expertise and knowledge of marine electronics and automation systems.
Key Duties
- Technical Support: Engineers in this role will provide essential 24/7 standby and emergency support, ensuring customer satisfaction through timely issue resolution.
- After-Sales and On-Site Service: Responsibilities include technical support and recovery for distributors and end customers, along with installation, commissioning, and project-specific training.
- Reporting & Analysis: Engineers will prepare systematic service reports for customers, investigate product complaints, and recommend root-cause solutions for equipment issues.
- Warranty & Claim Management: The role includes assessing warranty claims, determining repair needs, and managing communication with key clients to ensure service follow-through.
- Training and Documentation: Creating and updating technical training materials, this role involves delivering skill-based training to distributors to maintain high service standards.
Requirements
- Min diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, with 5+ years of related experience
- This position requires regular travel across Asia Pacific and Southeast Asia
- Candidates should bring strong problem-solving, task orientation, and customer service skills with a robust background in power generation and control systems.
- Experience with John Deere and KDI ECU control systems is advantageous but not a must
