About the Job:
We are seeking a driven and experienced Sales Development Specialist to join our client’s team, with a focus on the Marine and Shipping industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, preferably within Marine Satellite Communications or related industries, and will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships with ship owners and managers in Singapore. There is also potential for expanding into other countries based on performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies targeting ship owners and managers in the Marine & Shipping industry.
- Champion and drive sales of Marine Satellite Communications equipment and related products.
- Identify new business opportunities, conduct market research, and generate leads.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure repeat business and long-term partnerships.
- Provide expert advice and solutions tailored to clients’ specific needs.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and contracts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery and installation of products.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
- Report on sales activities, forecasts, and market trends to management.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, such as Marine, Electronics & Electrical, IT & Telecommunications, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven sales experience in the Marine & Shipping industry, with a strong network of ship owners and managers.
- Knowledge of Marine Satellite Communications equipment or related products is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of the Singapore Marine market, with the potential to expand into Indonesia.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and customer-focused.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
