Key Responsibilities:
Develop hardware for switched-mode power supplies and battery chargers.
Perform topology selection, circuit design, component selection, and power loss calculations based on customer specifications.
Design schematic and PCB layout based on product design.
Craft test and verification plan to ensure product design can comply with customer requirements.
Ensure the product can meet safety and certification requirements.
Resolve issues with design promptly based on customer and internal feedback.
Liaise with multiple parties – customer, factory, and internal/external stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of the product.
Good communication skills to ensure effective collaboration within a diverse team.
Requirements:
•BSc, MSc, PhD, or researcher with Min. 3 - 8 years’ experience.
•Knowledge of power electronics topologies and design – flyback, boost PFC, LLC, PSFB.
•Experience designing CC/CV charger systems and working on power supplies with power levels >500W.
•Working experience in schematic design and PCB layout software, e.g. OrCAD, PADS, or other equivalent software
•Familiar with simulation tools, e.g. LTspice, PSIM, or other equivalent software
•Acquainted with test equipment such as AC/DC source, electronic load, oscilloscope, and soldering iron.
•Candidates with the below skillsets will be an added advantage:
•Experience in volume manufacturing.
•Experience in the automotive industry.
