About Our Client:
Our client, a leading children’s clothing retailer from China, is planning to launch large-scale pop-up stores and/or hypermarkets of their merchandise in Singapore.
To support their expansion, we are seeking an experienced and highly capable Operations Partner (Retail) to join the founding team in Singapore and play a key role in driving the establishment and growth of the business.

This role can be on a part-time or full-time basis depending on business needs and candidate's availability.
Job Description:
This Operations Partner (Retail) will be responsible for managing the overall operations of the pop-up stores and hypermarkets, as well as identifying and sourcing essential local resources in Singapore.
Key responsibilities include identifying business channels, establishing strategic partnerships, and scouting for optimal store locations.
The ideal candidate will possess a robust local network, exceptional operational and executional expertise, and fluency in Mandarin to ensure effective communication with their stakeholders in China.
Job Scope:
- Oversee all aspects of store operations, including staff management, sales, inventory, and customer service
- Source and provide key local resources to support the growth of the hypermarkets
- Identify and develop business opportunities, and establish partnerships with local stakeholders
- Scout and evaluate potential store locations, ensuring optimal placement
- Collaborate closely with the client and headquarters to align business strategies and execution
- Coordinate with suppliers, local partners, and stakeholders to drive business objectives
- Manage full-time or part-time staff as needed based on business requirements
Requirements:
- Strong execution skills, with experience in business development and retail management preferred
- Experience of managing P&L of projects is essential
- In-depth knowledge of the Singapore market, with the ability to leverage existing local resources and networks
- Proven ability to identify and develop key business relationships and opportunities
- Fluent in both English and Mandarin in order to speak to stakeholders and suppliers in China, with excellent communication skills for working with local and international teams
