Job Description & Requirements
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Scrum Master to guide and support Agile teams in delivering high-quality software and projects. The Scrum Master will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure Agile principles are understood and followed, help identify and remove impediments and drive continuous improvement within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate all Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and sprint reviews.
- Collaborate with Product Owners to manage and prioritize the product backlog.
- Guide and coach teams on Agile practices (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and principles to drive productivity, transparency, and team ownership.
- Remove blockers and impediments for the team to ensure smooth progress and delivery.
- Support the Product Owner in translating high-level product vision into actionable tasks for the development team.
- Track team performance metrics such as velocity and work on continuous improvement plans.
- Foster a collaborative and open communication environment among teams and stakeholders.
- Ensure proper documentation, including user stories, epics, and any technical or project-specific records.
- Manage cross-team dependencies and ensure alignment with broader project goals.
- Champion a culture of accountability, innovation, and adaptability across the team.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or in a similar role for [X] years.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-ACP, or other Agile certifications.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or Lean.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and coaching skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Familiarity with Agile tools like Jira, Trello, or Azure DevOps.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to remove roadblocks.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams across product, engineering, and business units. Over two years of experience as a Scrum Master for a software development team using Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
- Knowledge or experience with widely adopted Agile techniques such as User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, and Automated Testing.
- Experience delivering using the Scrum approach (e.g., Burndown charts, Retrospectives, Sprint reviews, Story estimation, breaking down large epics/features into user stories, bug handling, etc.).
- Previous experience as a delivery lead.
