- Develop and implement vessel maintenance and repair plans in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
- Monitor vessel performance and provide technical guidance to crews to optimize efficiency and safety
- Coordinate with external contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective vessel maintenance and repairs
- Manage budgets and track expenditures related to vessel maintenance and repairs
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and quality standards and regulations
- Develop and maintain relationships with port authorities, regulatory agencies, and vendors to support operations
- Conduct periodic vessel inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in marine engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in vessel maintenance and repair
- Thorough understanding of maritime regulations and industry best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong project management and problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to travel and work weekends and holidays as needed
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience in tankers and offshore vessels will be advantage
