Overview*
Reporting to the Group Chief Executive Officer, you will propose and implement the strategies, priorities and standards for managing cluster NUHS. The incumbent will also ensure the adequacy and effectiveness of the cluster NUHS framework and policies.
The research assistant will aid in a study exploring the impacts of virtual reality mindfulness interventions on end-stage kidney disease caregiver well-being. The staff will assist in all research-activities including literature review, ethics application, participant recruitment, data collection/analyses, administrative duties and report/manuscript preparation.
Job Responsibilities*
- research assistant to aid in a study exploring the impacts of virtual reality mindfulness interventions on end-stage kidney disease caregiver well-being. Main duties will include:
- Conducting literature reviews on caregiver burden, psychosocial impacts of caregiving, mindfulness, and virtual reality therapy
- Assisting with preparation of IRB application and completing required ethics training
- Recruiting study participants from kidney disease clinics/support groups
- Collecting survey data on caregiver depression, anxiety, stress pre and post intervention
- Conducting qualitative interviews with participants on usability of VR system
- Authoring/co-authoring academic articles on study findings
Requirements*
- Master and/or Bachelor's dgree in a relevant field (Social science, psychology. biology)
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in hospital research is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and written.
- Experience of applying for ethical review would be an advantage
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical research standard.
- Driven and motivated, with potential to achieve research excellence.
- Ability to generate experimental results leading to high impact publications.
- Multi-lingual preferable
