We invite qualified and experienced candidates to join us for the below positions:
- English Homeroom Teacher (Primary) - Maternity Cover (start on Jan 2025)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- To carry out the professional duties of a teacher as circumstances may require and in accordance with the school's policies under the direction of the school’s Principal.
- To conduct assessment, recording and reporting on the work of students and attending Parents’ Meetings to meet parents and discuss the progress of individual students
- To set appropriate individual student targets in line with the school and departmental targets/policy
- To undertake appropriate training including INSET days at the start of each term
- Promoting and participating in your own continuous professional development:
- To be involved in Co or Extra Curricular Activities and school event days
- To undertake any other ad-hoc duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- At least a Bachelor’s degree in Education/ Teaching or equivalent, recognized by the CPE/MOE in Singapore
- Higher degree or recognized professional qualification (preferred) Evidence of continued relevant professional development
- PGDE and/or PGCE is preferable. Preferably a Teacher’s Licence (NIE certification)
- More than 5 years of teaching experience in a similar or related environment
- Prior experience in teaching English as a Subject
- Demonstrate an acute and deep understanding of a primary/ secondary school curriculum
- Teaching or pedagogical skills
- Passion for developing young learners
