Join our dynamic team as a Business Development Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in driving our company's growth. The role focus will be instrumental in sourcing new business opportunities and nurturing relationships with our existing clients.

About the Role: As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Securing New Customers: Actively pursue and acquire new business through cold calling, prospecting, and email marketing.
  • Managing Existing Accounts: Develop and enhance revenue streams from current clients while maintaining strong relationships for future cross-selling opportunities.
  • Sales Operations: Respond promptly to inquiries, prepare RFQs, review tenders, and ensure timely follow-up on customer communications.
  • Meeting Targets: Strive to exceed sales targets, contributing to the overall gross profit of the company.
  • CRM Management: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales visits, and progress in our CRM system.
  • Negotiation: Collaborate with agents to negotiate rates and maximize profit margins.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with Customer Service and Operations to ensure seamless execution of quotes and shipments.

Skills & Experience Required: To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Experience: 8+ years of sales experience, preferably in the logistics or shipping industry.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Sales Pipeline Management: Proven ability to independently manage and strategically develop sales pipelines to meet targets.
  • Hunting Mindset: A strong ability to identify and pursue new sales opportunities.
  • Customer Focus: Understanding customer expectations and delivering compelling value propositions.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with colleagues across departments and at various levels of the organization.
