About the Role: As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Securing New Customers: Actively pursue and acquire new business through cold calling, prospecting, and email marketing.
- Managing Existing Accounts: Develop and enhance revenue streams from current clients while maintaining strong relationships for future cross-selling opportunities.
- Sales Operations: Respond promptly to inquiries, prepare RFQs, review tenders, and ensure timely follow-up on customer communications.
- Meeting Targets: Strive to exceed sales targets, contributing to the overall gross profit of the company.
- CRM Management: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales visits, and progress in our CRM system.
- Negotiation: Collaborate with agents to negotiate rates and maximize profit margins.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with Customer Service and Operations to ensure seamless execution of quotes and shipments.
Skills & Experience Required: To excel in this role, you should have:
- Experience: 8+ years of sales experience, preferably in the logistics or shipping industry.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Proven ability to independently manage and strategically develop sales pipelines to meet targets.
- Hunting Mindset: A strong ability to identify and pursue new sales opportunities.
- Customer Focus: Understanding customer expectations and delivering compelling value propositions.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with colleagues across departments and at various levels of the organization.
