- Central point of contact for all local HSE related issues.
- Development and maintenance of an effective Health and Safety Management System in line with Group policies and best practices.
- Development of an effective HSE strategy to support continuous improvement.
- Undertake accident/incident investigations and prepare/provide accident/incident reports where necessary.
- Undertake HSE inspections, audits and training where required.
- Provide appropriate advice to managers offering a practical and informed interpretation of Company Policies and H&S legislations in response to routine and non-routine matters to enable all operations to function effectively and consistently within established guidelines.
- To keep appraised of current HSE management best practice and theory in order to effectively advise and ensure relevant application in line with SGS business objectives, its culture and environment.
- Maintain effective working relationships with key people in all Businesses by ensuring an appropriate level of interaction, including reactive and proactive site visits and regular written/verbal communications.
- Ensure HSE remains a focused strategy and support the management in identifying prioritiesand monitoring performance against strategic objectives.
- At all times exercise due regard for the health and safety of all in line with Company’s policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance to Junior HSE Executive when required.
