Job Description
The automotive technical officer performs maintenance, disassembles, inspects, repairs and overhauls bus transmissions, engines, axles and aircon compressors in accordance with work instructions. This includes troubleshooting bus engine and transmission problems and conducting failure analysis.
Core Responsibilities
- Prepare and repair system components in accordance with technical manuals and quality standards.
- Draw spare parts from logistic store.
- Test the repaired/overhauled components on test benches.
- Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in related field
- Prior experience in the automotive servicing line (Preferred)
- Professional Certification / Nitec in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Rigger and Signalman license preferred.
- Experienced in overhead lifting cranes and forklifts.
- Sound knowledge of engine and transmission parts catalogue and working principle.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to address technical issues independently.
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and logistic staff.
- Comfortable working in a noisy environment.
