The Assistant Banquet Manager joins our team of Banquet Operations in running and overseeing the events of our Hotel. The job responsibilities include :
- Timely execution and service of all Wedding, Corporate and Leisure events
- Assisting Banquet Operations Manager in scheduling staffing requirements of events
- Inspecting and performing quality checks for every event prior to the start of the event
- Hold pre-function meetings with all banquet staff to communicate all planned details, and last minute changes as outlined on the Banquet Event Order
- Assigning stations and delegating specific tasks for staff & part-timers for the event
- Enforcing service standards for all banquet events
- Accepting guest complaints and work to provide a solution in a timely and professional manner
- Perform such other duties and assumes responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time by management
Requirements
- Have a passion in event management
- Preferably have tertiary education in Tourism / Hospitality Management
- Preferably 3 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity
- Good interpersonal and customer services skills
- Willing to work shift work and on weekends and public holidays.
