Responsibilities:
· Perform installation, maintenance, repair and replacement of marine electrical (AC/DC) and electronics systems for onboard vessel.
· Troubleshoot problems for customers, provide recommendations for problem resolution: provide estimates to customer for repair, replacement and installation according to problem diagnosis and repair/replacement recommendations.
· Identifies parts that need to be replaced and places orders for parts or repair services as necessary for themselves.
· Assist the mechanical team to complete the mechanical and electrical work scope within the time frame given.
· Perform PMS service and troubleshooting of main engines and A/E control and automation systems.
· Works with Technical Manager, port Engineers, crew to support their electrical repair needs and to schedule troubleshooting and repair of electrical equipment.
· Must be able to manage time and coordinate all aspects of the job that is assigned by the Technical Manager.
· Perform Commissioning, Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul tasks onboard ship.
· Understand technical document to troubleshoot or provide technical support.
· Capable to manage servicing and troubleshooting and recommend spare parts for following equipment:
· Main Engine Electronic Governor System
· Main Engine Bridge Manoeuvring System
· Pneumatic Control System
· Main Engine Telegraph System
· Other Automation equipment such as Boiler Controls, Purifiers, Alarm Monitoring System, Main Switch Boards and etc.
· Main engine automation & bridge manoeuvring system.
· Other Marine automation and control system.
· Demonstrates efficient job planning and time scheduling for themselves.
Requirements:
· At least Diploma certificate for electrical automation
· At least 5 years of marine electrical repair related experience
· Willing to Travel overseas
· Strong working electrical knowledge of marine diesel engines and auxiliary equipment - electrical and automation systems; installation, maintenance, repair, replacement
· Marine Industry
· Good command in spoken and written English; conversant in spoken Chinese is a helpful working tool
