Job Responsibilities
Strategic Planning:
- Develop, validate, and formalize Company Group's strategy for funded projects, setting mid and long-term targets for technology domains, skills, and services based on current and future market needs.
- Identify and scout potential topics for research and development projects eligible for funding at Italian, European, and international levels.
Capability Assessment and Development:
- Identify and assess advanced capabilities developed by Business Units (BUs) to broaden their applicability and foster cross-BU collaboration.
- Map Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) to facilitate the exploitation of capabilities and enhance cross-BU fertilization.
Competitive Project Proposals:
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop competitive project proposals for funding programs, including Emerging Markets, RFCS, Horizon EUROPE, IPCEI, and other national programs.
- Ensure alignment of proposals with the overall strategic plan, enhancing BUs' capabilities and resource utilization.
Venture Capital & Strategic Partnerships:
- Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships to enhance Company market position and drive growth.
- Evaluate partnership opportunities, including joint ventures, alliances, and collaborations.
- Negotiate partnership agreements, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and mutual benefits.
- Manage and nurture ongoing relationships with partners, monitoring performance and identifying opportunities for further collaboration.
Stakeholder Management and Collaboration:
- Maintain and develop effective relationships with Research and Technology Organizations (RTOs), industrial partners, universities, and other technology stakeholders through an open innovation approach.
- Foster collaboration and leverage external expertise to enhance Company innovation capabilities.
Innovation Project Management:
- Supervise the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of funded R&D projects to ensure alignment with strategic goals and delivery of expected outcomes.
- Monitor project milestones and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.
Scientific Committee Coordination:
- Coordinate the Company Scientific Committee to strengthen Company position within the innovation ecosystem.
- Develop and disseminate white papers and position papers to influence and contribute to industry discussions and trends.
- Utilization of Comapny LABS:
- Leverage Company LABS as an innovation hub for the entire group, ensuring optimal utilization of its resources.
- Organize and oversee demonstrations, training sessions, pilot projects, conferences, and inductions to drive innovation and showcase Company capabilities.
Global Training Academy :
- Oversee and Design a global training strategy focused on innovation and emerging industry trend aligned with company objectives.
- Ensure the training programs support the development of key skills required for the organization’s success.
Education
Degree or Master in Engineering/Business Adminstration/Science or similar etc.
Qualification and Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in strategic planning, innovation management, or a related field, preferably within a technology-driven environment.
- Proven track record of developing and managing successful funded research and development projects.
- Strong understanding of the innovation ecosystem, including RTOs, universities, and industrial partnerships.
- Excellent project management skills, with experience overseeing complex initiatives and cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and cultivate strategic partnerships, with experience in negotiation and relationship management.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
