Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Availability and Efficiency Enhancement
- Drive proactive improvements in test equipment stability through the application of FMEA, Potential Problem Analysis, auto test design improvements, and other continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with customers on-site to achieve cost-effective solutions that sustain equipment availability and minimize downtime.
- Monitor key equipment performance metrics and generate reports for management review.
- Conduct engineering evaluations to enhance equipment efficiency, utilization, and capability.
- Automate data collection from test equipment and perform assessments to minimize equipment-induced yield losses.
Engineering & Manufacturing Tool Test Support
- Lead a team of technicians in the implementation of operational test procedures, enforcement of test standards, and process flow adherence.
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing staff and shift technicians to achieve output and quality objectives.
- Oversee the setup and qualification of new testers, coordinating with logistics and facilities as required.
- Engage in problem-solving and prioritization with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement solutions.
- Coordinate new product runs, support production deployment of applications, and conduct validation testing.
- Analyze equipment failures and implement timely workarounds and fixes.
- Manage hardware, software, and process changes related to test equipment, ensuring proper documentation.
Continuous Improvement Initiatives
- Lead projects aimed at enhancing overall test equipment efficiency and effectiveness.
- Participate in improvement projects and ensure successful execution of desired outcomes.
- Develop software solutions to monitor test production floors and boost productivity.
- Regularly review test plans and identify opportunities for reducing test times on mature products.
Training and Development
- Develop training and certification materials focused on failure analysis.
- Conduct training sessions and certification programs for internal teams.
- Document and disseminate one-point lessons for broader team learning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering. Exceptions may be made for candidates with extensive experience with Capcon tools.
- Proficiency in MS Office and data analysis tools.
- Experience in the advanced packaging equipment industry.
- Strong interest in the semiconductor industry.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve aligned project and operational outcomes.
