Job Description:

The Retail Assistant Manager will support the Store Manager in overseeing store operations, team leadership, and customer service excellence. This role involves managing inventory, assisting in budget planning, and ensuring visual merchandising standards, all while delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales growth.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Operational Duties:

  • Support day-to-day store operations, including opening/closing, cash handling, and security protocols
  • Ensure team compliance with company policies and procedures

Customer Service:

  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Handle and resolve customer complaints to maintain satisfaction

Sales & Revenue Generation:

  • Collaborate on sales strategies and monitor sales performance with the Store Manager
  • Assist in budget planning and monitor expenses to maintain profitability

Inventory Management:

  • Oversee inventory levels, product ordering, and stock management
  • Analyze sales and product movement data to optimize inventory levels and assortment

Team Leadership & Staff Development:

  • Supervise and lead staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management
  • Create a positive work environment and support team development through training and coaching

Visual Merchandising:

  • Maintain an attractive and organized store layout aligned with brand image
  • Implement and regularly update visual merchandising standards

Marketing & Promotions:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to execute promotions and events to drive footfall and increase sales

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Retail Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • 2-4 years of experience in retail management, preferably in the FMCG industry
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage customer complaints effectively and make informed decisions
  • Physically fit to perform standing and other physical tasks
  • Flexible to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Additional Information:

  • Salary: Up to $3,500 basic + variable bonus + weekend allowance
  • Location: Clementi (435 Clementi Rd, Singapore 599873)
  • Working Days: 5 days per week (1 weekday and 1 weekend off)
  • Working Hours: 44 hours per weekWeekdays: 8am to 6pm or 9am to 7pm (Rostered)
    Weekends: 8am to 5pm or 9am to 6pm (Rostered)
