The famous “hole-in-the-wall” bakery from Canggu, Bali opened its contemporary bakery café at Havelock Road, Singapore in August 2019. Starter Lab centres itself around healthy natural products from hand-crafted sourdough bread, pastries, posh toasts, salads, and locally roasted coffee.
Our sourdough goes through a process of long fermentation using only wild yeast, wholesome natural ingredients, and the magical element of time!

We are now on the lookout for talented Bread Technician/Packers for the production of Singapore's best sourdough bread and pastries based in Tai Seng, using wholesome ingredients and artisanal methods.
Role of Bread Technician/Bakers
- Reporting directly to Head of Production
- Slice and pack bread for our clients
- Sort bread according to the packing list
- Label boxes and crates correctly and clearly
- Monitor product quality frequently, reporting problems immediately if any arise
- Work closely with bakers to ensure quality control
Skills and Abilities
- Food and beverage experience a plus but not essential
- High hygiene standards
- Can work independently
- Excellent communication skills and an eye for detail
