Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision of Scaffold Operations:Oversee daily scaffold activities, ensuring all work is carried out safely and efficiently.
Ensure scaffolding is erected, maintained, and dismantled in accordance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Safety Management:Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures for all scaffolding work.
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of scaffolding setups, identifying hazards and recommending corrective actions.
- Team Leadership:Lead and train a team of scaffolders, promoting a culture of safety and quality.
Allocate tasks and manage the workflow of scaffolding activities on site.
- Quality Assurance:Ensure scaffolding work meets project specifications and quality standards.
Review and approve scaffold designs and layouts before implementation.
- Compliance and Reporting:Maintain accurate records of scaffolding operations, including inspections, maintenance, and incidents.
Report on scaffold-related activities to management, highlighting any issues or concerns.
- Collaboration:Work closely with other trades and project teams to coordinate scaffold needs and schedules.
Participate in project planning meetings to provide input on scaffolding requirements.
- Continuous Improvement:Stay updated on industry best practices, innovations, and regulatory changes related to scaffolding.
Suggest improvements to scaffolding processes and equipment to enhance safety and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in scaffolding (e.g., CISRS, OSHA) preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in scaffolding supervision, preferably in shipbuilding or maritime environments.
- Strong knowledge of scaffolding materials, techniques, and safety standards.
- Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a team effectively.
