Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Management:Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies and procedures in accordance with local and international regulations.
Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Training and Awareness:Organize and deliver HSE training sessions for all employees and subcontractors.
Promote HSE awareness through campaigns, workshops, and safety meetings.
- Incident Investigation:Lead investigations of accidents and near misses, documenting findings and recommending improvements.
Maintain incident reports and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Compliance Monitoring:Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to health, safety, and the environment.
Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies and management.
- Environmental Management:Assist in the implementation of environmental management practices to minimize waste and emissions.
Conduct environmental audits and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Emergency Response:Develop and implement emergency response plans and conduct drills to ensure readiness.
Coordinate with emergency services and ensure proper communication during incidents.
- Continuous Improvement:Promote a culture of continuous improvement in HSE practices across the shipyard.
Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in HSE roles, preferably in the shipbuilding or maritime industry.
- Familiarity with local and international HSE regulations.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HSE management software.
